La présidente de l’Assemblée nationale envisage de durcir les conditions pour former un groupe, une réforme qui pourrait marginaliser plusieurs formations politiques.
Le paysage parlementaire français pourrait connaître un bouleversement majeur. Yaël Braun-Pivet, à la tête de l’Assemblée nationale, propose de rehausser le nombre minimal de députés requis pour constituer un groupe politique. Actuellement fixé à quinze membres, ce seuil pourrait passer à vingt-cinq, voire trente. Une telle mesure menacerait directement plusieurs formations, dont certaines peinent déjà à maintenir leur influence.
Cette initiative s’inscrit dans une volonté de rationaliser les débats et de réduire les coûts. Avec onze groupes distincts, les prises de parole s’enchaînent, rallongeant les séances et complexifiant les négociations. L’entourage de la présidente met également en avant l’argument budgétaire, dans un contexte de rigueur financière. Toutefois, cette réforme ne fait pas l’unanimité. Certains élus y voient une atteinte à la représentativité de l’hémicycle, tandis que d’autres s’inquiètent pour leur survie politique.
Les réactions sont contrastées. Si certains groupes, comme Liot, estiment pouvoir s’adapter, d’autres, à l’image des communistes, risquent de disparaître purement et simplement. Les opposants dénoncent une manœuvre pour museler les minorités, alors que le président de la République retrouve son droit de dissolution. Le calendrier reste incertain, mais une chose est sûre : si les élections législatives anticipées interviennent avant l’adoption de cette réforme, le projet pourrait être abandonné.
Cette proposition relance le débat sur l’équilibre entre efficacité parlementaire et pluralisme démocratique. Un arbitrage délicat qui pourrait redessiner durablement les rapports de force au Palais-Bourbon.
